EmeSec Incorporated Awarded $1.3 Million Cybersecurity Contract to Support U.S. Air Force Medical Services

RESTON, VA. ? April 26, 2012 ? EmeSec Incorporated, a provider of forward-looking information assurance and cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies, today announced that it has been awarded a $1.3 million follow-on contract with the U.S. Air Force Medical Services (AFMS) Office of the Chief Information Officer’s Information Assurance Division.

Under the terms of the contact, EmeSec Incorporated will focus on providing information assurance (IA) engineering services for a variety of systems and applications supporting 74 Air Force sites. Additionally, the company will deliver certification and accreditation (C&A) service support. EmeSec Incorporated will serve as a prime contract holder.

EmeSec Incorporated will perform risk-management and information security controls evaluation and technical testing to bolster AFMS’ security posture. Additionally, the company will manage an Information Assurance Engineering Lab as it ascertains real and potential vulnerabilities in procedures, design, operating systems, hardware and software that may expose AFMS to security breaches.
